This summer, SFCM opens its doors to the Bowes Center for the Performing Arts for you to learn from world class faculty in the heart of Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ Francisco’s arts district. Residential summer programs and day camps for aspiring young musicians will give you the chance to get a taste of what studying at SFCM might be like. Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ open December 1.
Residential Opportunities
Stay on campus at SFCM, during these week-long immersive courses.
Technology and Applied Composition Immersive
Ages: 15 - 18
Students will take a deep dive into music technology, media composition, and state-of-the-art production techniques. Students will learn hands-on about the evolving field of media composition.
Vocal Academy
Ages: 14 - 18
Interact with SFCM voice faculty and industry professionals through private lessons, group classes, coaching with pianists, master classes, small ensembles, and a final concert.
Bass Clarinet Intensive
Ages: 18 +
A holistic approach to taking your bass clarinet playing to the next level. Participate in masterclasses and workshops, plus solo, chamber, and large ensemble performance opportunities.
Guitar Workshop
Ages: 13 - 18
Work with SFCM faculty and guests on this week-long guitar workshop. Take classes in Alexander Technique, improvisation, guitar technique, master classes and performance!
Day Camps
Meet over the course of several days in these exciting courses.
Harp Camp
Ages: 12 - 19
Hone your musical skills and connect with other young harpists from the Bay Area. During this five-day program, each harpist gets to perform solo, in a master class, and with the harp ensemble.
Introduction to Music Composition - ONLINE ONLY
Ages: 13 - 18
Explore your inner composer in this 9 day introductory course.
Center for Innovative Leadership: Summer Institute for Arts Leadership 2024
Ages: 21 +
A weeklong, seminar-style immersive experience for Arts Leaders of today and tomorrow, hosted at the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ Francisco Conservatory of Music and guided by thought leaders and taste makers across a wide range of disciplines within our field.
